Dr. Paquita de Zulueta
Overview
CV
Paquita is honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London and a member of the clinical ethics committee of Imperial College NHS Trust. She has worked for 35 years as a London-based General Practitioner and has a special interest in mental health, migrant health, clinical ethics and professional wellbeing and development. She is also a CBT therapist, a qualified coach and mentor and a Schwartz Round facilitator. Paquita gives lectures and runs seminars for undergraduates, postgraduates and professionals and writes in peer-reviewed journals about medical ethics and law and compassion in healthcare. She was programme director with Daniel Sokol for the Applied Clinical Ethics Course for the Hong Kong Hospital Authorities December 2018. She is President of the Open Section of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics. She worked in 2018 as GP lead for the NHS Grenfell Outreach Team and works (when she can) as a clinical volunteer for Doctors of the World’s London Clinic.
