Dr Sheila Wong is currently the Associate Consultant of the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, working in the field of Metabolic Medicine. Dr Wong obtained her Medical degree and Fellowship in Pediatrics in Hong Kong. She was the First Fellow and accredited trainer in the subspecialty of Pediatric Neurology since 2013. Later, Dr Wong further pursued her passion and interest in the field of Pediatric metabolic medicine. In 2015 Dr Wong received 6-month overseas training under Prof Jan Smeitink in the Department of Metabolic Disease, Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Dr Wong has several publications in the field of Pediatric neurology/ metabolic medicine. Currently, she is involved as the co-investigator of the Territory-wide mitochondrial disease registry in Hong Kong and the International Working Group on Neurotransmitter Related Disorders. Dr Wong is also the co-opted council member of the Paediatric Neurology Association of Hong Kong and appointed member of the Child Fatality Review Panel of Hong Kong under Social Welfare Department.
