Dr. Mina Cheng
Overview

Dr Mina Cheng is a General Surgeon in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with special interest in Vascular and Trauma Surgery. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2007. She obtained her FRCS in 2014 and was awarded the Li Shield’s Gold Medal for her outstanding performance in the fellowship examination. She was selected distinguished young fellow by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2015. She was appointed Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong.
Dr Cheng is one of the pioneers in the locally developed QEH Advanced Surgical Trauma Course, which has been approved to be Hospital Authority Corporate Training. She is also instructor and organizing committee member of numerous international and local trauma courses, including ATLS and DSTC. She represents Hong Kong in the Asian Collaboration on Trauma (previously known as ASEAN Co-operation for Trauma). She has publications in multiple international peer-reviewed journals. Her presentation and publication on management of haemodynamically unstable pelvic fractures was awarded the best Asia Pacific scientific paper on Trauma by the American College of Surgeons in 2014.
