Dr. Samson Sai-yin Wong

Dr Samson Wong is currently the Clinical Assistant Professor of Department of Microbiology, The University of Hong Kong, Honorary Associate Consultant of Department of Microbiology, Queen Mary Hospital and Honorary Clinical Microbiologist, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.
Dr Wong obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Hong Kong and Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK) and the Hong Kong College of Pathologists (Clinical Microbiology and Infection). He is also a Specialist in Clinical Microbiology and Infection in Hong Kong.
Dr Wong has also received other postgraduate professional trainings, including (1) Swiss International Short Course on Travellers’ Health in Swiss Tropical Institute, Basel, Switzerland in February 2006 and (2) Postgraduate Workshop in Clinical Parasitology, European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Postgraduate Technical Workshop, Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam in 2010.
Special clinical interests of Dr Wong include clinical infectious diseases and Medical parasitology.
