Dr. Andrew SCHRAM
Overview
CV
Dr. Schram is an Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Section of Hospital Medicine at the University of Chicago. He completed his B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics at Yale University followed by an MD and MBA from the University of Chicago. He completed Internal Medicine Residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Schram serves as the Director of Throughput and Efficiency for the UChicago Medicine’s Section of Hospital Medicine. His academic interests focus on increasing the operational efficiency of caring for hospitalized patients with the goal of optimizing the utilization of limited healthcare resources. He is also developing innovative hospitalist staffing models to facilitate increased coordination of care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
