Mr. Kin Ming Lau
Overview
CV
Mr Lau obtained his Bachelor degree and served as Physiotherapist in Hospital Authority since 2000. He worked in variety of clinical settings and specialties in public healthcare sector and completed his Master degree in Sports Medicine & Health Science in 2007. Having specialized in the field of geriatric orthopedic rehabilitation and passionate on integrating technology into healthcare practice, Ken is active in conducting quality improvement projects in enhancing service deliver to seniors.
His previous project using wearable to enhance patients' activity level in hospital had been awarded as one of the best presentation in both The Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association Conference 2017 and 11th Pan-Pacific Conference on Rehabilitation 2018.
With the adoption of experience obtained during his overseas attachment in Australia sponsored by Hospital Authority, he had conducted a pilot study exploring the feasibility on the use Tele-Physiotherapy Home-based Program for Geriatric Hip Fractures locally in NTEC. This not only earn him the chance in sharing the experience with overseas experts by his oral presenter role in the 2018 International Conference on Successes and Failures in Telehealth, it also facilitate the development of Mobile Application which aim to improve Hip Fracture patients’ and their carers’ experience throughout the Rehabilitation journey.
