Overview
CV
I was born and raised in Hong Kong in an expatriate Indian family. I entered the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2003 where I read medicine and graduated in 2009 after participating in a 1-year exchange program at the University of California – Berkeley between my non-clinical and clinical years.
I started my residency training in Radiology in 2011 under the Kwong Wah Joint Training Program (an interhospital residency training program between 4 hospitals). I completed my basic training and obtained Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2014. I majored in Neuroradiology during my higher training and obtained Fellowship of Hong Kong College of Radiologists in 2017.
My main interest is in interventional neuroradiology in particular on the use of flow diverters for treatment of intracranial aneurysms, and mechanical thrombectomy in management of acute ischaemic stroke. I aspire to contribute to the development of a territory-wide mechanical thrombectomy service in public hospitals.
There has been rapid development in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology in recent times. A Working Group on AI under Service Development Subcommittee of Coordinating Committee (COC Radiology) has been formed. As one of its members, I also hope to introduce the use of AI to facilitate the delivery of diagnostic radiology services in public hospitals in the future.
