Introduction :
Critically ill patients often require ventilator support and the transport of such patients relies on the trained nurses to optimize the process. Although training has been provided to new staff as part of the orientation program, refresh training to reinforce and enhance skills is essential. Therefore, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Wards have designed a one-day refresh training on using ParaPAC and TCIP.

(iii) Enhance teamwork and resource management, to build effective teamwork, ensure optimal use of the material, equipment and manpower in emergency condition.
Methodology :
This training comprised of 3 components: (i) PowerPoint presentation for reintroducing the Guideline and updated the knowledge; (ii) demonstration by Respiratory Specialty Nurse for practicing the required skills and (iii) implementing drill for enabling colleagues to experience and enhance team coordination.
Result & Outcome :
Result: The one-day refresh training was recruited Forty-eight nursing staff. All participants (n=48) agreed that the training was practical for use in the workplace and enhanced their confidence on the TCIP. Secondly, all participants agree that the training has achieved its stated objectives and build up teamwork. Forty-four participants (92%) rated 5 out of 6 or above for the training by 6 Points Likert Scale. They are happy and felt much confidence in care patient with ParaPAC and TCIP. Conclusion: Training is essential to reinforce and enhance skills that are not frequently utilized. The provision of the training demonstrated regular practice and knowledge refreshment is beneficial to nurses when handling TCIP.
