Introduction :
Electronic entry of patient's information during trauma resuscitation has been initiated since 2015 (Phase 1) and 2017 (Phase 2). With smooth progression and implementation, it s anticipated that Phase 3 of the project can be commenced in 2019, patient's vital signs captured during trauma resuscitation will be uploaded to the server instantly while the trauma and receiving team members can view patient's information simultaneously.
Objectives :
This new ETIS system enables seamless capture of patient's data and thus ensure accuracy and timeliness information capture.
Methodology :
With the ETIS Phase III system, patient's vitals are immediately collected and connect to a software and server which allows vital signs collection, storage and export to local applications. It also enables both the caring and receiving team to have instant and first hand information of patient, which enables better preparation and planning of patient' care.
Result & Outcome :
With the ETIS Phase III, it is anticipated that at least 500 patients in need of acute resuscitation would be benefited. In addition, patient's quality care can be enhanced as well as accurate manpower allocation according to patient's complexity especially in hectic, busy clinical environment.
