Introduction :
Patient receives various information on paper upon admission. However, it is observed that most paper is disposed into the rubbish bin.
Objectives :
Provide information to patient upon admission via a new form which is more attractive and in an environmental friendly way.
Methodology :
Patient usually receives a lot of information on paper upon admission to ward. To transform this practice, these pre-printed paper are turned into a colourful laminated poster which tagged onto the bed table. These posters are a lot more attractive with colourful design, it also saves resources from printing of paper and also reduces the number of waste produced. This also facilitates access of information by visitors during visiting hours.
Result & Outcome :
It is anticipated that 10800 piece of paper can be saved per annum with this new innovation and also resources saved from printing. As an environmental friendly unit, this serves as a first step to 'Go Green" and waste reduction. Yet, at the same time, quality of care delivered to patient is not affected.
